The Aria and Fugue Studio is a private piano and voice home studio located in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. Lessons are taught in the naturally-lit piano room equipped with a Yamaha Grand Piano.
ABOUT Marie
Originally from Chicago, Marie has taught private piano/voice as well as elementary, middle, and high schools around the country. She is both a private instructor and an instructor at the Main Line School of Rock. She received her Master's of Music Education with Piano Performance from West Chester University, and has accompanied and music directed for many local theaters including Steel River Playhouse, Barley Sheaf Players, King of Prussia Players, The Barn Playhouse and the Forge Theater. She is a sought-after accompanist and play everything from Classical music to rock and pop music.

AUDITION WORKSHOPS: SIGN UP NOW!!!
Sign up for a 2-day workshop where you will be assigned a song and a monologue, you will take it home and work on it, come back the next day where we will help you get it performance ready! Using acting and musical techniques, we will work with you in choosing appropriate repertoire for school shows, local theaters, or college. Everyone will perform both their monologue and their song for an audience the last hour of the last day! Come learn and have some fun!
THEORY WORKSHOPS: SIGN UP NOW!!!
Calling All Singers! Would you like to be a better sight-reader? Would you like to learn what all of the musical symbols in a piece of music mean? Are you one of the high school students who signed up for the theory class and have no idea how you are going to get through the year? Then, this is the class for you! As an ongoing class throughout the school year where you can just show up when you can [of course, the more you come, the easier it will be for you!], you will learn the basics in note reading, rhythmic counting, sight-reading, and then applying it to your choir music or you audition music. Covering multiple styles of music, we will work you to a level of intermediate or advanced!
Accompanying
Marie is available to accompany auditions, recitals, theatre productions, and concerts. Her skill in following and adapting to the artistic adaptation of the vocalist allows performers to feel confident that they will be at their best in any performance or audition. MEDITATION THROUGH MUSIC
This is a class designed for the beginner as well as a novice who just needs a little quiet time. A sacred class that honors the creative journey, you will experience a sense of peace; a musical focus to help you learn about yourself; and a nurturing inner journey of self love.
WOMEN'S RETREATS
Marie holds retreats throughout the year at her home, and she welcomes input on suggested classes or topics for music and/or meditation.
